| It's official, Mardi Gras is here in New Orleans. The greasing of the poles signifies the start of carnival-season-- and it is about time. A long standing tradition down on Bourbon Street-- lathering the balcony with Vaseline, to keep revelers from climbing up on them. Of course, it has a sexual-connotation to it-- because lube is involved. Parades are happening all threw-out this week-- making the Big-Easy central for everything party-related.
