The climate is changing, and houses have to adapt to new conditions. 20th century slab-structures are obsolete, they flood on a drop-of-a-dime. Remodeling should have higher-standards, in areas prone to hurricanes. Building elevated-units, that can take a licking and keep on ticking-- is the name of the game.
