| While competition is part of life-- don't get discouraged if your stuff isn't selected for a showing. Been entering these art-contests for years now-- and haven't won a single-time! Some of the studios have admission-fees-- because why not turn a profit on struggling-painters. Not sure how legit these judges are-- when it comes down to picking winners. Everyone thinks their art-work is better than the next person. It is more about who you know in this industry-- than the quality of the medium. And, it's true what they say about artists: you don't get full-recognition-- until your dead! |
