HAPPY NEW YEAR

Another year has flown bye-- was it worth it? It seems like only yesterday that we were ringing in 2017. Nevertheless, who cares about the top news-stories-- it's all recycled-dribble, anyway. Lets focus on the positive-- were your resolutions fulfilled? Making the most of the moment-- and not letting the opposition ruin it. Time is an optical-illusion, people try and push you around-- in the name of hierarchy. The clock keeps ticking away-- are you living the life you imagined for yourself; or, are you just another slave to the status-quo? The future is what you make of it-- and it all starts today!   

KEEP CALM AND POOP ON

There's a lot to be said about poop-- the devil is in the details. But, you shouldn't have to rush a bowel-movement, or hold it in. Relax, release, and repeat-- it's all part of a universal plan for us. So, weather it's behind closed-doors, or out in the open-- keep calm, and poop on!

NAZI STAMPS

Nazi stamps are highly collectible. Parcel was a big-industry in Germany during the height of the third-Reich. Delivering weapons to the axis-powers-- was instrumental in conquering nations. Different denominations above the swastika showed the weight of shipment. It was a very advance mailing-system; as SS storm-troopers would confiscate items from the Jews being shipped to the concentration-camps-- and mail them back to their own family-members. It was like Christmas everyday in Nazi-Germany!!!     

MERRY CHRISTMAS

Even if you've been naughty this Christmas-season-- it's a time to forgive and forget. The joy of the holidays is contagious-- so pass on happiness to others. Giving is what this occasion is about-- so wrap a present for love-ones. Those that oppose merriment, try and commercialize it. Alas, remember to rip-off those price-tags-- because that just cheapens the gift. Spending time with family and friends is good-- but if your all alone Christmas-day, enjoy it! Jesus was a loner, too-- and he is the son of God. MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL AND TO ALL A GOOD NIGHT!!! 

CORPORATE SHUTDOWN

The fat-cats have frauded the American-people. The economy is but a lie-- having you believe currency is the driving-engine behind progress. On the contrary, money is the root of all evil-- and it's time to take a stand. Democrats in Washington, D.C. need to band together and strip the corporations of their greedy-ambitions. Liquidate the bank-accounts and seize the houses. For crimes against humanity, the richest 1% should be forced into hard-labor. 

SOCIALISM

A better system for the people is achievable-- it's called socialism. Under this plan goods would be divided equally-- money abolished. The economy wouldn't exist-- no rich or poor, just one class of individuals. Everyone will work, but won't be employed-- because payroll would come to an end. No bosses, managers, shareholders, etc.-- it will be every man and women for themselves. Universal healthcare and education for  everyone-- the billing-system would stop. Society would change for the better, no more loud-mouths, backstabbers-- just the task at hand. 

NET NEUTRALITY

The Internet is under attack, once again. Laws protecting the web from being free and open-- are dwindling away. Corporate-juggernauts want to turn cyber-space into a money-pit. We deserve better than this-- as our virtual-liberties are at risk. If net-neutrality is repealed, surfing for your favorite websites-- will come to an end. Search-engines will be limited to what big-business wants you to see. This is an insult to our freedoms, and shame on the U.S. government for even considering overturning these protections.  

AMAZON ECHO

Is there an echo in here-- no, that's just the new virtual-assistance by Amazon. Giving orders is never easier-- with an A.I. at the receiving end. Alexa voice-remote can totally transform your home into a smart one. Turn the lights on and off with voice-commands, or order a pizza. Have the robot do all sorts of things: play music, read the news, call a babysitter, give advice, etc...

THE WAR ON CHRISTMAS

Christmas is under attack-- blame the Jews! The birth of Jesus is celebrated once a year on December 25th. And there is an underground movement by the Zionist to rid the world of this holiday. No more Santa-Claus, reindeer's, snowman's, and elves. The enemy would rather see these festive-figures die a fast-death. We as Christians cannot allow this to happen-- light-up the trees, hang the stockings, wrap the presents, and say "Merry Christmas".  

DIPPING

Chewing tobacco is the alternative to smoking it. Tired of constantly hacking up mucus-- then you might want to switch to dip. The buzz is the same as cigarettes-- except you are spitting instead of blowing smoke. Simple put a little-bit under the lip, and the chew will start to dissolve in the mouth; a burning-sensation occurs at first-- but hang in there. It can be done anywhere, there are laws against dipping in public-- and women think it's sexy, too! 

BLANK CANVAS

Posting these articles comes naturally-- inspiration to write is second-nature. But, this morning I was staring at an empty-screen, trying to figure-out what to compose. Usually, it's the combination of life-lessons and world-events that contributes to publishing. The composition-box is like a blank-canvas-- stroking the keyboard in an attempt to create a visual-picture for the viewer. Some days it's easier than others-- to ones chagrin. I never excelled in school at writing or painting-- it was all self-taught. Teachers failed me in English-- so this my way to stick the middle-finger right back at them! 

THE ART OF GIFT WRAPPING

Sometimes it's not about what you give-- but, how you give it. Wrapping a present correctly takes patience and the right materials. For instance, a fragile-thing should be placed in a gift-bag cushioned with matching colored tissue-paper. However, if the item is already boxed, then use wrapping-paper-- making sure the corners are taped evenly. Add bows and ribbons for flare, and stick the name-card to the top. There is no one way to do it-- just be creative!

BUSH TRIMMING

Bush trimming is labor-intensive, but it can also be an art-form. Shaping  shrubbery is a real-job, and fun to do. The tools of the trade are important, as you will need ladders, trimmers, and ones with extension-poles. Now, start cutting, making sure not to cut to deep into the shrub-- because it will cause patchy-holes. Depending on the type of greenery, will determine the best way to tackle the project. It's gratifying-work that cannot be rushed-- like painting a landscape with hedgers.   

TIMESHARE

Ready to escape the hustle and bustle of your daily-life-- well, a timeshare may be the route to go. Basically, traveling is made easy-- because choosing a destination from a booklet in advance, is peace of mind. Simply pick a vacation-spot-- and drive or fly there. A flat monthly-fee is all you have to pay, and the travel-agents do the bookings for ya. Of course, the competitors will say it's a scam-- but isn't that part of the capitalistic-way?  

COMICS

Don't have superpowers, well you can pretend with comic-books. Heroes and villains collide in detailed-illustrations. Graphic-pages of fight-scenes will entertain thee to the fullest. Collecting comics is a time-honored tradition-- so start one today. Condition is everything in this world-- as bent-edges and ripped-pages devalues the book. Keep them in plastic-covers, to ensure quality-- and who knows they could be worth sometime in the near future.   

NEW ORLEANS

What a grand-masterpiece this city is. The way the light illuminates off the high-rises-- makes you proud to be a citizen. Centuries of craftsmanship has left the skyline with a perfect mix of buildings; old-school structures meets new-world scrapers. Taking it all in is breathtaking-- a nestle of glass and steel. Appreciating this metropolis gives us a sense of purpose in life-- something that is bigger than ourselves.

NEW ORLEANS PELICANS

It's the dawn of a new season in New Orleans-- as the Pelicans are doing big-things in the Big-Easy. The pieces are finally coming together for this basketball-team. They are playing much better this year-- as their winning-record is proof. Take-flight is the slogan, and the players have adopted that to the tee. Let's hope the passion never stops, because this city deserves champions. GO PELS!!! 

STARBUCKS COFFEE & MORE

With marijuana becoming more mainstream-- sooner than later coffee-shops may start serving bud, too. Nothing goes better with a cup-of-Joe than weed-- the two compliment each other like peanut-butter and jelly. Imagine being able to purchase a bag of cannabis right in the drive-thru. The ability to order smoke off a menu-- truly is the American-dream. No shady-dealers, just another retail-outlet selling a product. How's that for capitalism at work-- letting the consumer decide what they want. No silly prohibition-laws-- just people enjoying life on a high.  

LSU vs. ALABAMA

Never had elephant before, but I hear it taste like victory! LSU marches on to Tuscaloosa, to battle undefeated Alabama. Kickoff is at 7:oo c.t. on CBS-- as it's the game of the week. Two heavyweights take to the ring-- fighting for supremacy in college-football. Who will be left standing at the end of four-quarters-- will remain to be seen. The crimson-tide has a balance attack, but the tigers are hot right now. A SEC showdown that will determine who will be crown champions of the west. 

ARE YOU ALRIGHT?

What is the deal with people constantly asking if your alright. Am I laying on the ground passed-out-- no! Why is there a need to interfere in the affairs of others? It seems like society is so caught up in the individual-- that little gets accomplished. Instead of monitoring the person-- do something constructive. We all have our insecurities, there is no need to harp on it. Back off and get a life-- I don't have time to b.s. with you. Say your piece and move on to better things.

EGGNOG

Move over pumpkin-spice, eggnog is the now trending. Soon, if not already, this drink will hit grocery-shelves, coffee-shops, bars, etc. Halloween is done with, time to get in the spirit of Christmas. What better way to celebrate the season than with a creamy-cup of joy. Enjoy it with or without rum-- it's totally up to you!

Reflection is a great state to be in-- realizing when something concrete comes to life. There are those constantly undermining what you do-- but keep at it. The RisingSun Post started out as an idea, and has since grown into a mecca of content. Thanks to all the fans, especially you, the supporter. The feeling of composing a post is thrilling-- and will keep at it, until death do us part. Hope the spirit of the blog has sparked an interest in you-- because there's nothing more inspiring than feedback. The Risingsun may be a mythical-image, however the merchandise is real!

WORLD SERIES

Baseball is a game of inches-- as it could very well be the difference between an out and a run. Everyone has there favorite team-- and it's kind of hard following a sport, when they aren't in the running. Nevertheless, the best two outfits will square off tonight-- in the World Series. Cleveland Indians and L.A. Dodgers deserve to be in the big-dance. The former has good hitters, as the latter plays great defense. A clash of strengths and weaknesses-- who will come out victories, in this series!?!

EGG IN A BASKET

It takes a special-breed to make these. Egg in a basket' is a delicacy in some Scandinavian cultures-- but still popular across the southern-U.S. Basically, yoke is cooked into the bread at medium-heat. The trick is frying it without burning... A pan with a lid works best-- sealing a controlled-temperature inside the fryer. Make sure to coat the bottom with butter-- enabling the concoction to form a creamy-texture. Add spices and sauce to the top for an explosion of flavor! Enjoy:)

THE FOOTBALL DEBATE

Instead of debating which league is better-- lets tackle there strengths. The pig-skin is actually larger in the pros-- because bigger hands. College-football is the farm-house of the NFL. What you see on the collegiate-side-- will be tomorrow's stars on the global-scene. Athletes battle for supremacy on each level-- so the game is the same, just different names and numbers. Obviously, scholarships vs. salaries is the big-issue here-- but money-players usually bust after the draft. Huge followings flood the stadiums come gameday-- some are just larger than others.

WHY I WRITE

Ask me again, and I'll tell you the same answer-- because I can. You learn the basic A, B, C's in life-- and then it becomes second-nature. When it comes to writing an article-- I have no idea what the premise is going to be. During the process of composing words-- the paragraph starts to form into something coherent. Call me old-fashion, but I use different type-sets to show emotion-- because less is more. And who doesn't want to be relevant in this world? Getting thrown under the bus is part of life-- so why not write about it!

Imagine one day drones delivering parcel to homes across America. It's a real possibility in this lifetime-- we will see these flying-machines in transit. Helicopter-crafts can support a tremendous amount of weight and fly far distances on a single-charge. Just a matter of having the will-power to make it a hoovering-reality! Imagine ordering something dropped-off at your doorstep by a mini-aircraft-- how unreal would that be!?

It's always better to play the game-- to appreciate the sport. Flag-football is an alternative to tackling-- as it uses the same rules, except no helmets and pads. A safer and cheaper alternative to the real thing. Generally, players wear uniforms with a dangling-cloth tied around the hip-- and the object is to pull it off to stop the opposing team from scoring. Still competitive as ever, just a different format. Leagues are gearing toward this type of activity-- to encourage sportsmanship without injury. Kind of like a water-down version of Gatorade, but it will still quince your thirst!

ACCOUNTABILITY

This has to do with something done half-ass. We say a lot of things in life, although when the time comes to actually doing the act-- it doesn't materialize into anything. Reporting an event-- that does not occur.  A sports-team which talks a good-game-- but keeps on losing. Politicians who promise improvements in a campaign-- alas, when elected does none of them.  Pitching a tent with no poles-- all hype and no substance. Counter-productive, standing in the way of progress; a burden to others, messy, etc.
